Job Summary:
This position is a local SME that is part of a global manufacturing giant in the UK with a team of ERP experts that formulate best practices integrated with ERP capabilities in both domestic and international operations. This position works with local business employees and key leaders to implement. These efforts will include new projects in implementing new features and/or analyzing opportunities to improve situations of company’s IFS ERP that can be local to a site, company, or global system impacting multi-departments and/or multi-company environments. These implementation will take “best practices” ERP IFS solutions to enable business solutions. This position will use best practices business and IFS expertise on international, tax, operations, inventory management, logistics and other business specialty expertise in both local and global situations. This position is a critical part of larger IFS support and implementations global IFS IT team using Global, multi-company, multi-currency, multi-site IFS implementation therefore it imperative applicants keeps global compliance while also incorporating local and global business needs.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Participate and occasionally lead various components in company's IFS ERP implementations that may include operations, inventory management, accounting, international, import/export, finance, manufacturing, warehouse management, operations, and Information Technology in both local a global multi-company, multicurrency, multisite implementations.
- Local IFS Expert to interface with global IFS SME team to work with key business leaders and staff.
- Provide local custom reporting needs and to provide tier 1 and 2 support of IFS system.
- Subject Matter Expert in IT related to IFS and Active Directory and being onsite IT IFS resource activities.
- Crystal, IFS Queries, IFS Quick Reports and Barcoding. IFS Security Admin, JSOX, and IFS segregation of duties
- Travel to company’s different locations as needed including International travel
- After hours support 24x7 as needed
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
(Minimum requirements for education, knowledge and experience)
- 4+ years’ experience in using IFS in a manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and/or engineering company.
- Preference to holding a degree and/or equivalent 8 years relevant experience
- Ideally would have international manufacturing company experience where there are international distribution centers shipping products internationally with experience in supporting a global ERP IFS solution
- Experience with manufacturing, machine shop, assembly, warehouse, global part sales, Information and Technology will be used to formulate best practices using global ERP IFS solution
- Experience in using large scale ERP solution such as IFS, SAP, Oracle or other required.
- Business acumen to understand business needs, flows, systems, drivers, and processes and providing business architecture, design, and implementation.
- Proven track record of working across organizations, particularly development and product management.
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments, acting as leader or contributor, working with multiple groups in different parts of the organization.
- Fluent speaking of English is required.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working conditions:
This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment
- Work schedule generally consists of 40 hours per week, which may include on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Ability to lift/manoeuvre 20 pounds.
- Flexibility to relocate.
- Must live in the UK currently and have work rights is Essential.
